Ferrostaal Equipment Solutions North America, the master distributor of RYOBI® printing presses and Shanghai Electric’s Shen Wei Da post-press equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today said it has named Lionel Byron the new company president.

Byron said Ferrostaal drives the sale and serviceof Ryobi and Shen Wei Da equipment through its current network of 20 dealers across the U.S. and Canada. Ferrostaal said it reduced its Houston headquarters and sales staff last week to an appropriate size because of the ongoing recession in the North American printing industry.

Ferrostaal maintains full equipment sales support along with full support of Ryobi press parts for all customers in the U.S. and Canada. Ferrostaal also provides equipment financing for Ryobi presses.

Byron replaces former president John Torrey.  Previously, Byron served as CFO of Ferrostaal Equipment Solutions North America, a post he has held since Ferrostaal began U.S. operations in October 2011.

Byron has been in the printing equipment industry for 18 years and before his U.S. appointment served as CFO for Ferrostaal Equipment Solutions business in South Africa. He has a Bachelors of Commerce from the University of Port Elizabeth in South Africa and is a South African Chartered Accountant.
